The brand new OpenSourceEV NextGen Overhead Glasses Holder for the Rivian R1S and R1T is THE unobtrusive, easy to use, quickly installable holder for nearly any set of glasses you may have. It installs easily and hold nearly any set of glasses securely against the headliner. This is an item that, once you have it, you'll never want to go without it.
This NextGen product version is completely overhauled resulting a vastly superior product. Changes include:
- A brand-new clip system to better secure the glasses holder on the edge of the headliner.
- Completely consistent thickness that results in zero bowing of the overhead light-pod while being significantly stronger.
- Removal of the additional hook that holds the sunglasses in as it's no longer needed. This allows for easier insertion and removal of the glasses into the holder.

Love this idea. However, it didn't come with instructions on how to pry the panel from the headliner and which end to slide in. I broke the first one trying to force it in. To Opensource credit they sent me another, no charge.
Second time around I got a stiff narrow putty knife and easily pried the plastic clips apart and put the part in after figuring out whice end should be inserted.
Two weeks later I snapped the sunglass holder at the seam trying to get them out.
I feel the company needs to make this thicker/stronger. I think the cold may effect how brittle it can be be. If your gentle and live in a warm climate it should work for you.

I use this to secure a pair of sunglasses as well as my office parking garage pass (essentially a credit card) and it is awesome! My R1S is short on storage for random things like that, so this definitely filled a void for me. I was a bit hesitant about pulling back the headliner, but I can assure you it was SUPER easy -- just watch the video and you won't have any issues with installation. Product has also withstood being left outside in 110F+ temps for over a week without issue.
