The OpenSourceEV Parts Stealth Phone Mount V1.5 is the most visually minimal phone mount available for the Rivian R1S and R1T. Like the EVO Phone Mount, it fits between the gauge cluster and infotainment screen and is held securely in place by friction -- no clips, screws, or adhesives. But where the EVO is built for maximum flexibility, the Stealth is built around a single goal: make it disappear.

The Stealth is sold as a complete kit -- mount plus your choice of one of two offset MagSafe holders. Both holders are designed to leave only the MagSafe ring visible once installed, creating a "floating O" effect where your phone magnetically docks. The mount body tucks behind the infotainment screen edge, and the offset holder obscures what little remains.

What Makes This Different

• Visually Minimal by Design: Slimmer across every dimension than the EVO. The right side tucks farther behind the infotainment screen, hiding it from both driver and passenger view.
• Reflection-Reducing End Angles: The bar ends have been reshaped with calculated angles that redirect light away from the cabin, reducing reflections and keeping the mount visually quiet.
• Recessed Ball Mount: The ball sits deeper toward the dash, pulling your phone closer to the screen and enhancing the floating effect.
• Ultra-Low-Profile Ball: A newly designed, low-clearance textured ball provides a solid, slip-free hold while keeping the overall profile as slim as possible.
• Secured by Steel: The ball attaches to the mount body via an M5 x 25mm stainless steel bolt and nut -- the shortest we could use while maintaining a secure hold. Competing mounts rely on clips, which are significantly more prone to failure.
• ASA Construction: Printed from ASA for superior UV resistance and temperature resilience up to 300 degrees F. Competing mounts use PETG, which can deform in heat, or ABS, which fades with UV exposure.
• Open Source Design: Design files are publicly available under Creative Commons NC-SA 4.0 for personal use and remix.

Included Phone Holders

The Stealth is available with two offset MagSafe holders, both chosen specifically for their low visual impact. Each offsets the phone to the side so the mount body is obscured, leaving only the MagSafe ring visible in the cabin.

• Lisen Offset MagSafe: MagSafe holder offset to keep your phone clear of the vent airflow. Open center design.
• OSEV Offset Charging MagSafe: OpenSourceEV's own offset MagSafe holder with wireless charging. Dim blue LED ring for targeting at night. Uses less than 1mw when not charging -- no impact on the 12V battery.

Both holders include a metal ring for phones or cases without built-in MagSafe. The OSEV Offset Charging holder includes a USB-A to USB-C cable.

Using the Charging Holder

The OSEV Offset Charging MagSafe holder requires a USB-A power source. The Scosche OBD-II to USB-A Quick Charge Connector is the recommended solution. It plugs into the OBD-II port in the driver footwell, includes an OBD-II passthrough so the port stays accessible, is fused inline, and has a cable long enough to route cleanly under the steering column without running behind trim or weather stripping.

Installation

1. Insert the included nut into the mount and thread the stainless steel bolt through the ball and mount body. Tighten until snug -- it just needs to not rotate.
2. Slide the assembled mount into the gap between the gauge cluster and infotainment screen until it seats firmly in place.
3. Remove the locking screw from your selected phone holder and slip it over the ball.
4. Lock the holder down via its locking screw. Don't over-tighten -- the textured ball surface should grip well with minimal pressure.
