The OpenSourceEV Parts Center Cap Mount for the Gen 1 Rivian R1T and Rivian R1S is a 3D printed snap connector that allows for installation of the center cap from the Rivian 21" rim aero cover directly onto the 21" rim itself. To use this part, unsnap the center cap (shown in picture four, on the right) from the aero covers you already own, snap them into this product, and insert into the open bit in the middle of the rim itself. Once installed, these are removable from the rim and reinstallable into the aero cover.
The caps detach from the aero cover by pressing the friction clip inward. (see picture 5) Make note of the two round alignment pins are on the yellow portion. (picture four)
Please note: Repeated install and removal weakens the material as it's designed to deflect like the OEM product. This may result in eventually losing a center cap. Additionally, when installed into the rim, they are in there quite tight and make take effort or planning to get out.
This product is use at your own risk. OEM center cap, rim, and Rivian pictured are not included.

They work great!!

This is a highly effective product, just note that it's inexpensive because it allows you to use your own logo tabs that are found in the middle of your aero inserts. Those inserts with the logo do not come with this purchase. (I was stupid and didn't realize that at first.)

The OEM center caps are overpriced. I really didn't want to "invest" more in the 21" wheels so these were a great solution. Takes about 30 seconds per wheel to install. Thank you!

Love these things. Very easy to remove the center caps from the aero covers and attach to these mounts. The mounts pop in - no problem.
Note: Don't try and remove the metal ring from the aero cover and insert into the mount. I ended up busting off one of the mount posts trying to add the metal ring. The seller didn't recommend I do this...I did it ony own.

Center caps fit perfectly. Rims look much better without the covers, however there is an average 5% additional drop in charge in a 100 mile trip due to turbulence. A well made product and a good value!
