EVO Phone Mount Bracket

I tried many different phone mounts for my R1S and they all had their strong points. One thing that they also had in common ... my phone jiggled while I was driving. It was worse on the mounts with longer arms (that's just physics). I settled on this mount, with the cooling Lisen MagSafe charger, after making one little tweak. I added some double stick tape to adhere it to the center display ... I used the thin "LCD repair tape" used inside cellphones and other electronics, because the 3M stuff is too thick and too strong. Adding that adhesion so close to the ball mount has totally eliminated the shakes when the phone is mounted. FINALLY.

I replaced my original Phone Mount PRO from Opensource EV (Riviparts) with the newer EVO model and it's night and day. My phone was previously hidden behind my steering wheel despite an attachment I purchased on eBay to make it rise up a little. This new EVO model resolves it so that I can see the screen completely now!

I enjoyed the first gen version for three years and found it was the best product on the market with a convenient placement that was discrete looking and worked well. This next gen version is even better. And the customer service from owner Rob has always been A+. Highly recommend.

Excallend mount, easy to install, not much bounce on rougher roads.

The base piece clicks in to the dash really well. But, (1) the 17mm ‘ball’ didn’t fit my mount and I had to seemed it to make it work (2) the ball part doesn’t attach securely to the base… those tabs are too small and the supplied nut spins in the slot so the entire ball attachment wiggles. (3) the final position of the phone doesn’t work, blocks too much of the left side of the center screen.
I’m happy to support this maker community but this part didn’t work for me

3D printed part is weak. It broke immediately. I didn't have the energy to request a replacement. I just bought another product that is working perfectly.

Great holder, worked well. This is my second purchase first one snapped in half after 1 year. Otherwise great product, especially for the low cost.

I bought the original phone mount and it worked well but come summer, the plastic melted. The company stands behind their product and replaced it with an updated design that is even better than the original, easy to see and easier to adjust. Pleasure to do business with Open Source EV

It’s so much sturdier than having the swivel arm attached like the previous one. It’s in a great location and very stable! No more vibrating phone. So simple!

Open source replaced the previous model (it would melt/sag in the sun) with this new model. It is sturdier, and locates the phone to the right and up, out of the visual path of the steering wheel. Worked great until the summer weather then melted on a hot day when cabin temperatures were high when parked in the sun.

Had previously purchases a different mount, similar in function as this one. But I think the product had some weak points that caused it to snap off. sent an email to the customer contact and Rob immediately responded and discussed the issue and offered a replacement of the same item or this EVO Mount. Opted for this for the reason I see it has the extra strength of the screw. The product is perfect and easy to install. Overall rate them best for the commitment to the customer. Thank you Rob.

Especially for heads up navigation. Perfect and secure placement and ease of use. I prefer to charge with a cable so the AINOPE phone holder that works with this and is mentioned in the description above is perfect! My only ding would be having to reach around my phone to lock/unlock the vehicle on the main screen. Well worth the minor inconvenience to have my phone in the perfect spot and be able to grab it and go quickly. 10/10 recommend this simple and easy to install product!

Easy to install and when paired with a magnetic phone mount I purchased from Amazon I can mount my phone without the steering wheel blocking my view.

Best phone mount I've been able to find for the R1S

First mount broke because I pressed the wrong area (because i thought the pressure fitting would scratch the Rivian touch screen frame). The second one installed correctly, but in my effort to secure the ball while fiddling with the Spigen phone mount, i overtightened and snapped the plastic pins on the backside that prevent the ball from spinning. The ball is a bit too close to the screen and it is very difficult to mount a the phone holder - not enough for the threaded collar to be adjusted properly. However, it is in place and functioning reasonably well. The mount has some play but so far has not affected the performance - as in the phone does not shake too much or move out of position.

The mount snaps in easily and positions the phone where I can see it without blocking the screen or being hidden behind the steering wheel. Very sturdy and doesn't move around.

I tried several other options and none worked well until the Evo mount. I paired with the Lisen mag safe unit for my iPhone 14 Pro and it looks as if it was OEM - perfectly matching with the RIVIAN dash. Is great!!

I really enjoy the phone mount I added the Seigen wireless magsafe mount to it. Modern contemporary look hardly noticeable. The mount looks like it should have been there from the manufacturer.

Well made, they put two pieces together with a screw so it is sturdy. Also reasonably priced.

I made a mistake installing it and broke it. I contacted them and they sent a replacement right away.

Really ingenious design, everything fits together perfectly. Mount fits snugly between console and dash, and holds a phone in the perfect position. Great product and great service!

I have had both ball mounts, I bought this to see if I could get rid of an extension on the first one to move my phone up from behind the steering wheel. This one is a tighter fit than the original, and I was able to get rid of that extension. Honestly I wish it was about 1 inch higher, but I can probably accomplish that with whatever phone mount I use in front of it.
