Creator Kit - Seat Back Tablet Mounts or Hooks

Low-profile hook interface fits snugly over the Rivian's front-row seat-backs. The v2 changes are very snug, so be gentle when pushing it firmly onto the seat hook. It does feel a bit cheap, so I wouldn't be inserting and removing it all the time for fear of breaking it. I didn't notice any damage to the seats, just a slight scuff if I really looked close that cleaned off with a finger-rub. Pretty happy with the solution overall when combined with the tablet holder from Amazon (which, by the way, is great for the R1S 3rd-row seats).

VERY solid design and I highly recommend also buying the suggested mount.

It could benefit from some additional assembly pre-delivery & felt protection material on the backing would be a bonus to prevent possibly scratching the back of the seat when installing or removing.

Once installed there is more movement thru to the iPad than I had hoped for, but when put to the “kid test” the mounts received 4 thumbs up.

Simple, easy to assemble, completely functional. My kids love being in our Rivian even more with their new iPad set up.

I appreciate the efforts and innovation OpenSource EV Parts is offering. The price point is very fair (not gougy) and the practicality of the products is fantastic. I only gave this seat back hanger 4 stars because it’s a little bulky in nature. However, it functions well and fits the application nicely. I’m new to the Rivian family and will be keeping my eye out for more products.

Literally perfect

~5 month review: I love the idea of this unit and its flexibility to fit different phone/tablet sizes and orientation. I want to like it, but am disappointed in the quality (see #1) and the design (see #2 and 3), and am actively searching for alternate options before next summer's road trips.

1) I bought 2 for the backs of both front seats, and one broke almost immediately when my kid tried to turn the orientation....there is a thin piece of plastic holding the rest of the holder onto the seat hook that just snapped in half. I bought a replacement, and that one lasted a few months before the same thing happened again. If you buy this, set it up and NEVER try to touch or move it again.

2) Trying to install this from the front seat in a moving car is almost impossible (picture Mom sitting in the front passenger seat needing to take the tablet out of the holder to fix wifi or an error message or help a toddler navigate to another show). The angle of the hook and holder requires a level of precision that isn't easy unless you're sitting in the backseat.

3) The screw that locks in the tilt and rotate functionality sits in a tight crevice. Kid-sized fingers can fit in, but they don't have the strength to loosen the screw, and adult-sized fingers might be too big for the space. I have to take the whole unit down, reset the screw, then put the whole unit back on (which is then complicated by my #2 above feedback).

I use the product all the time but since there is no way to Secure it vertically it does move up and down

Fits perfectly and is to remove if you are worried about it for passengers in the back seat.

Use one for coats and one for hats. Hats would not hang on the original hooks so this fix reduced clutter in my cabin!

I was expecting a tablet mount (like what's pictured), but instead got a hanger with a ball on it. The product page is deceptive, and funny enough, I didn't even see there was a second piece to order until coming to write this review. Why not sell an actual "Tablet Mount" vs selling a universal ball adapter, which is what this is. It's a nice ball mount so it at least deserves half the stars.

Worked great. Well-designed. Easy to set-up/install. Make sure you know that you’ll need the Lamicall iPad holder from a 3rd party (Amazon), but it works great together.

Bought these because you can't really hang a coat hangar off the built-in hooks, and it works great for that. Easy to install. Sticks out (and is pointy/sharp enough) that you'll want to remove if if you've got a rear passenger otherwise I feel like they'll get impaled if you brake hard. (To that end, I wish it had a little tab or something to hang on the back of the seat organizer down low when not installed.)

It wiggles too much. But I like the simplistic design.

This thing was easy to install and works great. Provides hook for clothes although I hang my computer bag on it as well

Great product, have had some issues with it laying flat and cracking due to metal insert not fitting and had to order more.

This a great item to add to any R1S. It is simple and looks like it is part of the original Rivian. Nice work!

This attachment was perfect for our 1500 mile drive with 4 kids! Well worth it.

I saw this product a while ago and decided to grab it before our most recent trip. It works great for my daughters iPad and she is very happy with having her iPad hanging.

It appears to be the only game in town for the R1S, but the fit isn't very snug so tablet devices are "bouncy".

This is a poorly made product that doesn't fit well in my R1S. Even the screw down bolt is at an angle. This isn't ready for prime time.

As stated in the video, I had a couple very tight delrin pins but after getting them seated, the whole bracket went together great. I used the recommended iPad mounts and they are now permanently mounted in my truck. Thank you!
