When we say Made in the USA, we mean it.

Every part we 3D print is made right here in Pittsburgh, PA on our own printers, using US-made Polymaker PolyLite ASA filament where available. ASA is UV-stable and rated to 300°F, so it holds up to real sun and heat inside your Rivian.

We're also transitioning our production to Snapmaker U1 printers, which largely run on open source, community-enhanced firmware, keeping even our manufacturing in step with the open-source spirit behind our products.

The "electronics excluded" note covers the small number of sourced components we don't manufacture ourselves, like fasteners and hardware. Those are bought in, not printed. Everything else is made in the USA, from the filament to the finished part.

Open Source is what we're all about. The designs of all OpenSourceEV products (including this one) have been publicly posted and licensed under a Creative Commons license to promote remix and free personal use.

You can download the STL files to edit or improve them in a program such as Fusion 360, or print them for low or no cost if you have a 3D printer or access to one. (Check your local library if you don't have one!) It's one way we're putting this community ahead of ourselves.
