Feedback & Rapid Iteration

We Build It, You Tell Us What's Wrong, We Make It Better

Our products don't come out of a boardroom or a focus group. They come out of conversations with other Rivian owners, on the forums, on Reddit, in owner groups, and they get better because those owners keep telling us what could be improved. That feedback loop isn't a nice-to-have. It's the single biggest reason our parts work as well as they do.

Feedback Actually Changes the Product

When someone tells us a clip should grip tighter, a holder should fit a wider cup, a bracket should clear some bit of trim we didn't account for, or an attachment should swap more easily, we don't file it away for "version 2.0 someday." We change the design. Often within days.

That speed is only possible because of how we make things. There's no mold to re-cut, no factory retooling, no minimum production run to burn through first. Improving a 3D-printed part means updating a file and printing the new version. So a good suggestion on a Tuesday can be in the parts we ship by the end of the week. Try getting that kind of turnaround out of a mass-produced accessory.

Why Our Products Have Version Numbers

You'll notice a lot of our products carry version numbers, V2, V4.5, and so on. That's not marketing. It's the honest record of a part that's been refined again and again based on what owners actually reported from the real world. Each version exists because someone hit a limitation and told us about it, and we did something about it. The part you buy today is the sum of every one of those improvements, not a design frozen in place the day it launched.

Sometimes You Bring Us the Whole Idea

Feedback doesn't stop at tweaks. Several of our products exist because a community member had a genuinely great idea in the first place, and we turned it into a finished, tested, supported part. When that happens, the designer gets credit by name on the product page. We're not interested in quietly absorbing someone else's work, the whole point is that good ideas from the community get built, shared, and attributed to the people who had them.

How to Get Your Two Cents In

If you own one of our parts and you've got a thought, a frustration, a "it'd be perfect if it just did this", we want to hear it. Reach out directly, or find us on the Rivian forums and owner communities where we're active. There's a real chance your suggestion ends up in the next revision, and if it does, you'll know exactly where it came from. That's how this has worked from day one, and it's how we intend to keep it.
